Full name of ‘Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’ was ‘Dr. Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam’.He was born on October 15, 1931, in Dhanushkothi, Tamil Nadu, in the temple town of Rameshwaram. He was born into a poor family, yet he grew up to be a clever young man.
Kalam earned his B.Sc. from Thiruchirapalli’s Saint Joseph College. He enrolled at Madras Institute of Technology in Madras, India (MIT). When he joined the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in 1958 and the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in 1963, he gained more experience in the sector. He is recognized as India’s Missile Man. Prithvi, Trishul, Akash, Agni, and other world-order Indian missiles are largely the consequence of his efforts and caliber.
Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was elected as India’s 11th President. From 2002 to 2007, he was a member of the military. He received the prestigious Bharat Ratna in 1998, the Padma Vibhushan in 1990, and the Padma Bhushan in 1981 for his greatness and brilliance.
Dr. Kalam passed away on July 27, 2015. He was giving a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management in Shillong when he abruptly passed out. The former President was put to rest with full state honors at Rameswaram’s Pei Karumbu Ground on July 30, 2015. The Prime Minister, the Governor of Tamil Nadu, and the chief ministers of Karnataka, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh were among the 350,000 persons who attended the death rituals.
Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was primarily concerned with his job. He was a single man. He had no desire to travel overseas. First and foremost, he desired to serve his motherland. He believes that his first and main responsibility is to serve his homeland. He loved music, as well as the Koran and the Gita.
